Be inspired Part II
This is a part of the “Find inspiration every day” quest.
One of my favorite photographers from when I first began all of this craziness (thank you, Becca, for bringing her up for me again) is Cheryl Jacobs…
A fantastically,
creative,
daring soul
who still shoots film.

Her “Photo Tips for the Day” post is a classic.
I printed it.
In LARGE font…
and put it on my computer.
I love this woman’s work.
She has a workshop that I will get to someday. You can learn more here.

I finally purchased Florabella actions and some textures I trolled for on-line (all legal) and have begun to PLAY…
there were, indeed, dog images that (I’m sure) were staring at me in disgust because I was
neglecting
them…
I just wanted to mess around with PS…
so I did.
Nothing like busting out some old, fave images and giving them a
NEW LOOK………….

I read the coolest list for how to have a more ” whole, content, blissful life” on Davina’s Blog. She was interviewing a fab wedding photog named Mary Marantz who is part of a husband/wife team (Justin and Mary)….(image below copyright Mary Marantz).

Her FAB list for contentment and bliss:
Be willing to let go. Whatever you’re doing that doesn’t fuel your business or your soul, be willing to let someone else take care of it.
Be authentic. Spend the time to figure out who you really are & what you really love. Then only be & do those things. Don’t let anyone else tell you it’s not good enough.
Be the CAN in your life, because there will always be an abundance of people willing to tell you you CAN’T
Take care of your financial house. Nothing is a greater enemy to bliss and contentment than stress over money.
Live life Un-Ordinary. Because extraordinary after all and when you think about it, really just breaks down to extra ordinary. More ordinary. And who wants to live a life like that?
(the whole interview is here. She really is a wonderful writer).

I’ve been messing around with new tag lines for the blog header…searching in my heart for what I’m all about.
I’m loving “In search of an un-ordinary life”…
my other one was “Living and loving the creative life” ….
or simply “Creative inspiration every day”
What you are your thoughts, lovelies? I value your opinion.
Happy weekend~
OX.
p.s. Another funny blog name (no, it’s not “Oops! I Craft my pants”–still laughing at that one).
It’s: Oh, crap. My parents just joined Facebook.
Love it.

Oh, my, what you’ve created with your photographs and the Florabella Textures are fabulous images!!! Whew, works of art, every one! I have to say I really like “In search of an un-ordinary life”. It’s tricky coming up with a tagline, isn’t it? One doesn’t want to define oneself the wrong way. But on the other hand, trying to sum up a complex, interesting, mercurial life in one line isn’t really fair, is it? – g

Wow! Your pictures are “un-ordinary” – amazing! I love the Florabella textures and actions and there are some great textures in flickr and other place. You’ve done a beautiful job using them – very inspiring! I LOVE the one with writing…I’ll have to go on a hunt for that one. I like “Creative Inspiration every day”, but I am also loving the “un-ordinary” one too – what a great phrase!

WOW! What a great post!!
I love the photos that you played with… the boot shot won my heart, till I the cherries, then the hats, and oh no, that ADORABLE polka-dotted umbrella! Choices, oh no! It’s still the boot shot for this boot loving girl!
My vote is “un-ordinary”… that’s what I love about great artists… you see the extra special in ordinary life…
LOVE the “Bliss List”… Thanks for all your great info today!
