Ode to the stylist…
Twig Hutchinson, magician/styling visionary that he is, makes me feel things with his work.

Then there’s Tim Walker…rockstar of stylists. He has incredible vision with an incredible budget…Voila’…
Fab Photos Galore.
So inspiring.

Pam Brown, owner of Piccolo Paradiso (post on that here), is a natural stylist. She is a Euro-woman stuck in a American body
Pam enhances daily living with beautiful plates for fresh paninis and pastries—she’s always at the ready with Persecco for your glass and a cd player full of great mood-music.
I had the privilege to go to her house the other day. They just finished a massive remodel on their bedroom and let me say,
it
is
flat-out-
incredible…
old beam on the ceiling and all.

This image below is so “Under the Tuscan Sun”….Pam’s fave book, naturally

Her dream bathroom she’s been waiting on for 29 years.

This almost was stuffed in my purse when she wasn’t looking, but then it would have left a gaping hole where fabulousness once was.

This little frenchie chair below has meaning for me. Pam’s coffee shop was originally a decor and gift shop before we moved to NY years ago. I loved these vintage chairs she would find from Normandy and I bought four of them over a span of about three days…it got to be quite silly…I would call my new fave haunt in Camas and ask, “Are the chairs in?” in a hushed voice like it was some sort of secret code for something dangerous. Every time I sit in one of these, I think of Pam and her original vision…
and what it turned in to today…
the wonderful caffeinated vortex for our cute town.

I love this view through the bedroom into the sunlit living room…so lovely.

Ever spend the day just moving things around your house…
“Playing stylist” to yourself?
My kids complain when I flit-flee-fly with lamps in one hand and a an urn balancing in the other….
just ready for a new home.
The kidlets don’t like change.
Change is good, I say….
especially when you feel so happy looking at your home in a new light.
Maybe today change it up a bit?!
OX.
p.s. Anthropologie has done it again…they just released their sister brand called Leifsdottir that is amazing. Their photography and styling always knock my socks off. Wow.
