Modern Prairie Girl

Modern Prairie Girl

In Search of an UnOrdinary Life

In the Pink.

There’s a bee in my bonnet…as usual.

This time it’s pink.

Here’s the scenario:

Photographer drives by gorgeous pink cherry blossoms for days.

Photographer panics because this year she will do a photo shoot around this beauty.

Photographer contacts former muse client who she knows will be “game”.

Photographer panics (again) when forecast for the week is cay-rap.

Photographer rallies family muses (to the tune of $6 each..the price has gone up) to shoot on a cherry blossom-laden street at twilight.

Photographer makes her way back into mother role and realizes how in love she is with her kids.

(How did I get so lucky?)

These felt a bit pinky vintagey to me…I like it, but the true-to-life color is nice too.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the kidlets do “Ring Around the Rosey”.

Please say a weather prayer as my Anthro-inspired/uber-fashionista client is coming to do her version of the “pink thing” tomorrow….

It involves pink frilly laundry, pink clothespins, a pink cruiser bike, and a vintage ladder.

Thanks for the blog-o-versary well-wishes…big smooches to you girls!

Oh, Gawd, Lara!!! I LOVE these images so much!!!! I am so jealous – I have no access to any cute, adorable models and my plum blossoms are about to fade away with no lovely images with lovely girls taken of them. Beautiful and inspiring! – g
