Artsy Girl Inspiration

I hope you had a lovely fall weekend! Here’s some ARTSY GIRL inspiration to start off your week:

This book is on its way to me and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s a follow up to 12 Secrets of Highly Creative Women, a book I’ve read twice. It’s wonderful, sage advice and a must for any Artsy Girl.

Truly an inspiring book for me right now in my new adventures in art journaling. I’ve got gesso, paint and all kinds of mess all over my kitchen island. This is the perfect book to begin the journey.

‘Love Susan! I am trying to get a date on the calendar so we can do her poetry class with her at my house in the spring. She is delightful and you’ll fall in love with her as she bares her soul in this book.

The movie “The Tree of Life” was a real show-stopper for me on the plane to and from Hawaii. I had to watch it twice to take it all in! This is the trailer. If you’re a lover of good cinematography, it doesn’t get any better than this.

This video (thank you for this fabulous find La La Lovely Things):

Matilde from closet visit on Vimeo…amazing stuff!

the Anthropoligist is always such a great place to find interesting things in our world. I loved this story about Jim Denevan’s “art in the ice”:

I love being inspired by my sister friends. Jeanne, over at Jeanne Oliver Designs, has created a wonderful class that promises to be exciting and a “dig-deep” experience. So in love with all that she is doing. (oxoxo, J)

I’m so into color right now and the chap-in-the-know is Will, aka Mr. Bazaar. Visit his fabulous blog and prepare to want to paint your floors yellow or your door red. He has the best ideas and always cheers me with his brightly hued product finds and decor.

What’s inspiring you, lovelies?! What ignited your heart this weekend?
