Be inspired.

Find inspiration every day.

Every  day.

It’s one of the best things you can do for yourself.

I really believe that all people really want is to be inspired.

I do.

Things that light my spark are everywhere…..Maybe it’s that “Look! Something shiny!” thing, but I love looking for that special thing that gets me excited to create or write or take photos. Yes, these inspiration cues are everywhere.

In store windows.

In glossies.

In  my kids’ art.

In  Anthro catalogues.

In the décor of women I admire and love.

At  vintage barn sales.

In museums.

In lyrics of my favorite songs.

Even in buckets of flowers outside a flower shop near my studio.

I’m so visual and have a tear-out sheet file that is so packed I can hardly get it in my file drawer. It’s fun to refer to it when I’m feeling uninspired…there are those days—we all have them.

So below I thought I would just simply post things I love…things who have ignited my heart lately…

…I would love to hear what

for you…

even just one thing…you cuties who’ve never commented before—let’s  hear from you!

Let’s start with some Gyspyville Chican MPG favorite. If I could hob-knob my whole day away on the prairie in a pair of these, I would be one happy girl…

Your post this morning got my creative juices flowing…..Thanks so much. A box of colored pencils and an white journal page is great fun for me. I just fill the page with colors, smudge them around and see what comes of it all.

    What gets me going:

    -laughing so hard it hurts
    -the Oregon coast
    -fresh ground coffee beans
-making things with my own two hands
-kisses from a two year old
    -my dogs soft ears
-good chocolate on a bad day
    -fresh laundry
    -holding hands
    -the color blue…any shade

now…my goal is to get as much as possible off that list TODAY!! Thanks for the inspiration.

What a great post – so many new places to wander to and check out! Right now I’m inspired by photography – admiring other people’s and trying to take more pictures of my own…and learning photoshop elements is making that even MORE fun – I could spend HOURS playing with actions and textures! I’m going back through pictures of my kids and using photoshop on them and having a great time laughing at the memories they bring to life!!

I just attended the Women of Wisdom conference in Seattle with my daughter, Daisha. We saw Donna Eden who is a healer and teacher of energy medicine. My heart is vibrant!

  5. I could not agree with you more! I thank God daily that he has put a passion inside me which causes me to notice the smallest details of beauty that surround me. I so often find my eye drawn to something so random and obscure…and it feels like a gift, just for me!

I love that church shot. Breathtaking! Oh, and that blue bookshelf thingy from Wisteria always strikes my fancy. (It’s been in their queue for a long time now…must strike a lot of fancies!)

I too get distracted by everything shiny! Creating, decorating and design, knitting stores (as terrible as I am at it), romance of any kind, a good book, great cafe lattes and cozy settings to drink them in, pilates ….a great magazine or these days a great blog (thank you, thank you!). I guess at the end of the day, it’s a real blessing to find inspiration in so many things. xo

  7. Megan says:

  8. Relyn says:
