Beach cottage Dreams Part II

Okay, friends…it was in the low 50′s and absolutely pouring for our Memorial Day holiday. Mind you it was in the high 80′s last year (but who’s looking back?!)

WHAT THE #$%&?!

So, to cheer us NW folks up a bit, I believe some rainbow umbrellas might be in order…found this image via a fab spot I found from Simply Seleta…a new time-wasting spot on the internet (just what we need!):

So to perk our soggy butts up a bit, let’s go back to our Beach cottage dreams….shall we?

Elle Decor had a fab layout of Meg Ryan’s beach house…just lovely, as you would expect.

The owner of blog Velvet and Linen opened up her house to Hooked On Houses (LOVE that little spot in cyberspace)…all I can say is wow-ee-wow-wow~Please send the clock via two-day priority.

Love reading Dreamy Whites—my alter ego blog style–teehee…me and my red :) Anyway, I think she may have found a little Cali beach cottage town for us to move in to..

…..and she also found us an uber cool beachy store, Pantine Decor (image from Dreamy Whites)~

Coastal Living, always good for some dreaming, posted their fave rooms of the year…drool, drool…

Oh, friends…it has been a looong May with only two days of no rain. Ridiculous, yes? With a forecast of rain for the whole upcoming week, I’m not sure I will be able to make it without hijacking a plane or boat or canoe to a sunny spot…it’s really getting to me. PH and I were laughing that we must feel like Lewis and Clark did when they reached the Oregon coast and had two straight months of rain—welcome to the NW Coast, boys! Of course, we have indoor plumbing and refridgeration going for us, but nonetheless….it’s so icky!

I hope you lovelies had a great holiday weekend (we can wear white pants now–woohoo! Funny custom that is).

How is the weather in your area? Do tell and let me live vicariously through you.

Sista, you SO don’t want to be living vicariously through moi… this weather is simply suckage. Completely.
If you hijack a plane, I am going with you! This has been really difficult spring (especially after returning from the south of you-know-where with all of its sunshine) and it is starting to get to me… I can only imagine what high spirits I would be in were it sunny – EVER.
It would also cheer me up to see you one of these days… just sayin’…
    xx

hmmmmm….I was just talking to my neighbor who is an onion farmer and he is in desperate need of some sunshine to put the “sweet” in his Walla Walla onions. We’ve been getting dumped on too….very unusual for this side of the mountains. The weather forecast in the newspaper tonight said “great weather for ducks” and so it is….more rain coming our way. I must bake cake…always a good decision when rain is in the forecast!

do you really want to know what the weather is? currently, 77* with a slight breeze from the South West and tomorrow sunny in the mid-80′s

I’ll get that guest room ready for you Lara here at the farm? (lol)

soooooo funny – i have like 3 of these pictures yanked out & in my file :) :) great minds……
i am catching up for the week :) yes the rain…..

The weather in the Pacific NW has been like that bad boyfriend I had…. teasing, flirting, tempting me with sandals & looking super nice (dry) & then BOOM (downpour).

I am totally breaking up with Mother Nature.

our holiday weekend here in New England was 102 degrees with about 90% humidity and our air was (and still is not) not working! How weird is THAT?

    Hello
    How are you?
I do love living in California! I am from Montana, and actually when we first moved down here, we lived near Santa Barbara, and if you can believe it I had a hard time getting used to having sunny weather all the time.
If it makes you feel any better we have had a lot of rainy days here too.
Hope you have a great week!
    Take Care,
    Maria
