In talking with my boy friends and girl friends this week, it seems that 2010 was a huge creative year for many of us.
A year when we reached up,
reached out
and really made a commitment to ourselves that there was so much more than we ever thougth possible.
It’s unreal to me that in such a short amount of time, I could find a tribe that I love so dearly,
cultivate a friendship that I hold very dear to me…
and form a plan for the creative journey I know that I’m meant for.
It’s all so scary and a little daunting…
but at the same time, the idea of a life lived with gusto every day,
doing what ignites my heart is almost too much to take in.
I’m realizing that it is all possible…
and I’m so, so grateful to dwell in this possibility, as Miss Emily Dickinson (and the lovely Kelly Rae ) reminds us to do.
So…along this line of thinking, I happened upon this little gem below that I really want to share with you, sweet lovelies. It’s from…
It is special and helpful and I intend on reading it at least twice during the “launching month” of January~
Read for yourself here.

Hi. My name is Kristy. I stumbled on you and your work via youtube’s Ehow videos. I saw your websites and blogs, and think your work is absolutely beautiful.
As for the reason Im writing, I’m thinking about a career in photography. Currently, I’m a 27 year old nurse assistant, and I think I need a career change. I thought I was going to be nurse, but I think it’s too emotionally draining for me. The reason I’m writing to you, if you don’t mind, was to inquire about what kind of education you have. I ask because I’m thinking of going to school for photography, but am not sure which route to take, whether it be writing, photography associates, or bachelor’s.
Thanks for your time. Any info is appreciated.
