“In riding a horse, we borrow freedom.” ~ Helen Thomson

I’ve been creating very large “horse part” art. I was creating them for my own house, but had a friend suggest I offer them at my show. They’re really cool as a group on a large wall. The one at the top of this post is my favorite “part”—that black horse took my breath away. His hair was like woman hair!
Horse Girl exhibit is October 5th at Elida Field’s gallery in Camas, WA. If you’re in the area, I would love to see you!
Dear sweet Horse Girls who read this blog:
I know you’re out there, because I’ve heard from some of you.
FAVOR TO ASK OF YOU, lovelies:
I’m working on mixed media piece incorporating pictures and letters. I would be so honored if you could send me pictures of yourself with your horse (or your horse by him/herself) and a handwritten note about what riding horses means to you. You can email the picture, but I’d be so grateful if you could snail mail me a written note (maybe on your favorite stationery). It can be short and sweet!
Please email me for my address: email@example.com

Have a great week, lovelies!
I’ll still curl it up here and there—goodness knows I wear it up 75% of the time anyway b/c it gets in my way.
Anyhow…it was fun
