Modern Prairie Girl & Junk Salvation

I get the “junk sweats” on the car ride when I know I’m heading for some serious junking…I love thinking about what everyone has been working on in their booth and what magic they will bring to a sale. I had a lovely, lovely time on Saturday and it made me ready for a season of flea markets comin’ down the pike!

Behold…Dixie and Linda of Funky Junk Sisters fame…they put on a great event in Oregon this past weekend.

One of the major highlights was meeting up with my Brave Girl pals who drove in for the show. Deana, Kelly and Mikal..three of the sweetest women you’ll ever meet. It made me want to see them more!

My lovey, Isabel from Maison Douce and her adorable daughter. Isabel had a very nice article she wrote for Somerset Life. It’s in stores now.

The Rodeo Queens from West Texas emailed me last week to see if I was going to Funky Junk. They wanted to meet up to say hi, as they read the blog. I was so flattered. The are THE sweetest ladies you’ve ever met…and how impressed was I that they had gotten a storage unit in the area for all of their antique gear?! Amazing.

My other lovey, Lisa from A Thing for Roses had all of her girlie pretties on display.

Christina from Mack and Momma had a great booth with some creative gear.

I always enjoy the muted grays of Kathleen’s eye at Faded Charm. She’s a Camas Antiques gal as well.

My beloved Clark, who works at Camas Antiques, and is always helping me find gear for photo shoots poses with Camas Antiques vendor named Christa ( Chloe Rose Designs)

Billie from Brocanteur Vintage (also at Camas Antiques) sold that fab sofa…so darn cute.

Amy from Today’s Country Store in Sumner, WA…she owns these cute little trailers that have been restored to their girlie glory. Super cute inside.

This is Julie of Garden Primitives (who is at Monticello Antiques),  finder of the happiest windmill in the world. She had some great stuff and I got a potting shed table that is to die for.

Sarah, from Roost Reimagined in Salem..she was a cutie and was still fresh as a daisy even after a long set-up and a long morning.

So the Rodeo Queens I have above…they host an event in Texas that looks right up my alley.

Petticoats on the Prairie is happening April 29th and 4oth in Ira, Texas. It looks incredible! On Saturday the “ya’lls” were flyin’ everyone and we were all dazzled by their Texas charm.

Rest of the pics will be on FB under my profile (friend me, if you haven’t yet)..if you’re a Junk Salvation vendor, feel free to grab ’em and post ’em as you like.

Happy week, Lovelies!!

Lara I love your term “Junk sweats” I get butterflies on my way to estate sales and some of the big shows I go to keep me up at night. Any other time you ask me to get up at 4 a.m. I would groan. One of those show days and I seem to have the energy of Wonder Woman. SO do you have any money left? I majorly want one of those trailers, every time I drive by one I fantasize about ringing the owners doorbell and asking if they want to sell it. My husband would definately freak if I towed one home one day. But I’m that kind of person..HeHe…Glad you had a great time!
