Modern Prairie Girl Vintage Trailer love

I’ve been inspired again.

via Retro Restoration

At Barn House Tiffany came down with her vintage trailer (named Audree, who is pink, btw) and an obsession re-ignited. I’ve been photographing Sisters on the Fly trailers at flea markets for awhile (remember this one from Petticoats on the Prairie last spring?)

…. to get up close inside

Talk about a room of your own!

Amy, owner of Sumner’s Today’s Country Store, just happens to be part of the Trailer dealing circle. I snuck a snap of her at Junk Salvation this year…hiding out in, what else?

Her fab little beauty.

Two wonderful spots to look at examples of the remodel job on these babies are here  and here.

I’m kind of partial to the yellow and red, MPG colors…and of course, have got the whole thing mapped out in my head as to the interior design that would propel me into Caravan Land.

both from Retro Restoration

sigh…so, so lovely!

Some of these are really incredibly done…

I think there might be some red polka dots involved in this dream as well…

This breakfast nook looks like trailer heaven to me..

Same trailer from the outside…really like this color combo…

So. much. fun.

Have a lovely summery week, lovelies!

These are so cute~just looking at them makes me smile. My sister and I spent a lot of time as children designing interiors for small spaces like this, cutting out photos from magazines to paste on walls, making furniture, etc. Happy times.

  2. I heart Constance!

  3. Just love the retro caravans. Don’t know of anyone who doesn’t at least think they are cute.

One of my 47 in 47 is to own one of these babies! I’ve found several, they seem to appear now that I want one! It’s hard to find one with good bones and no leaks though… the “best” lesson from Sisters-on-the-Fly”. Of course the pricing is going up on all of them too, so it’s hard not to grab one before it gets crazy!

Tiffany did a great job with hers… LOVE the white seats!

  5. I want you to get one so bad!!!!
I have that book in audree, it is a great one!
    xoxo Tiffany
