Coastal roadtrip 2012: Astoria all the way down past Pacific City on the Oregon Coast and back home.
Total. Complete. Blast.
While Portland was sweltering in the high 80’s/low 90’s (stop laughing, you East Coasters!), it was the perfect weather for motorbiking in the high 60’s on the Pacific Coast. From mountain top views of the surf below to a lighthouse that was built in the 1800’s to a lot of bad diner coffee to a moist forest right off the dunes to a shipwreck in the sand to an air museum in the middle of no where to ttiny coastal churches …I was in wanderlust heaven!
This I know about a motorbike trip:
-It makes me fall in love with PH more than ever
-I can get some serious planning and thinking done back there in the drone of the engine
-I see more of these adventures in our future
Not wanting to ride back into the buzz of the city is the only downside. I could feel the noise and hub-bub draw us in as we headed into Portland.
Until next time, open road…next time.

‘Got to meet one of my favorite blogger/writers on Tuesday evening who was in from Washington D.C. for the World Domination Summit.
I’ve mentioned Kimberly Wilson so many times in the life of MPG Land. She is a true inspiration to me and I can’t recommend her blog and podcast enough. She is one amazing lady! I was so thrilled to have dinner with her and browse Powell’s Books with the best Tranquilista around.
How is your summer going, lovelies?! Where are you finding your joy in the sun?
